“You lead me into temptation when I find you here during the day,” he whispered in her ear in between nibbling along it.

A sensual shudder ran through her. “You tell me to meet you here.”

“And you do not deny me… that is temptation.” He placed her on her feet. “Disrobe.”

She looked at him aghast. “It is always a quick joining we share during the middle of the day with no removal of garments.”

He leaned his head down to whisper in her ear. “Not today, wife. Today I take my time with you. Now off with your garments.” And once again he sent a tingling shudder through her body.

Her hands trembled with anticipation as she disrobed. “What if a servant should appear?”

“They are too fearful to come here,” he said, his hands busy with his own garments.

He was right about that. The servants always asked her permission to see to the bedchamber. None would dare come here unless given permission.

She got into bed once naked and pulled the blanket over her.

Rannick threw it off her before getting in beside her. “I want to see all of you, touch all of you, kiss all of you.”

It was as if his words caressed her most intimate parts and she feared her passion would burst there and then.

“I fear I will not last long,” she confessed.

“Good, then I can see you pleasured again.”

Bliss moaned and he had not even touched her yet, and when he did, his fingers trailing faintly over her breasts, she knew it would not be long for her.

“I love the soft feel of you,” he whispered, his fingers roaming over her in no particular pattern, simply freely and lovingly.

Not knowing where his hand would touch next excited her all the more. One moment his fingers faintly tormented her breasts, the next they dipped down between her legs to brush teasingly across her sensitive area and tingle her senseless, then they would move to her nipples to tease with the faintest touch until finally his lips replaced his fingers.

She heard the plea in her voice when she said his name. “Rannick.”

He lingered, kissing her stomach as his fingers teased between her legs.

“Rannick!” she gasped, mindless with a passion that begged for release.

He raised his head and brought his lips to settle on hers with a gentle kiss. “Let go so I can bring you to pleasure again.”

He gave her no choice, his fingers working his magic to bring her to the brink and send her tumbling over the edge. She titled her head back and moaned as wave after wave of intense pleasure crashed into her. Before they could drift away, she felt him enter her, powerful and deep, and he churned the fading waves back up again.

A wave of pleasure swept her up and tossed her around and she could do nothing but let it carry her off, though she grabbed onto her husband’s arms, intending to take him with her.

“Not yet,” Rannick said, pulling back from her to grab her legs and place them over his shoulders and gripped her bottom as he rocked her body with his powerful plunges.

Her passion swelled like a mighty wave, building in strength and anticipation of crashing along the shore only to recede with overpowering force.

She wanted to scream his name, but it came out in a soft plea, “Rannick.”

He dropped down over her with a forceful thrust that sent not only his passion over the edge, but hers as well. He roared as pleasure slammed through him.

Bliss knew this time she would drown in the pleasure that hit her and crashed her hard on the shore.

Rannick felt his wife go limp beneath him and hurried off her. Her eyes were closed, and she was not moving, her body completely lifeless, and he feared she had…

He shook her. “Bliss! Bliss!”

Nay. Nay. She wanted to continue to float away on the wave of immense pleasure, but it slipped away depositing her limp and satiated on the shore.

“BLISS!”

Her eyes popped wide at her husband screaming her name.

“Good, God, woman, you frightened the hell out of me,” he said, relieved to see she was all right but fearful of hugging her and robbing her of what breath had restored her.

“A wave of pleasure,” she managed to say, realizing how breathless she was.

Rannick shuddered at the image of a giant wave sweeping her away from him, not able to reach her. “I will let no wave take you from me.”

She smiled. “Your fault.”

He went to argue when he realized she was right.

“Love the wave. Love you,” she said and shuddered, recalling the overpowering climax.

He reached for the blanket to pull over her, then took her in his arms to settle comfortably. “I do love you, wife.”

Bliss closed her eyes lingering in the lazy aftermath of pleasure. She did not ever think she could be this content, find this much happiness, be loved as strongly as her husband loved her. The bargain she had feared making turned out to be the best bargain of her life.
