"That actually sounds amazing."
"There's something you have to do for me though, Madison."
"What's that?"
"You're going to have to turn in your homework and actually pass your exams for the rest of the semester. We can't have your record reflecting you being held back and a lack of participation."
"Ugh." She frowns that pretty mouth and turns onto her stomach. "I knew it was too good to be true. Does my record say the reason behind me being held back?"
I shrug. "The details aren't specific. Why? Is it anything criminal that will come up in a background check?"
She laughs. "Criminal? Kind of. Will it come up in my background check? Not at all."
"What did you do?"
"Two years ago, my best friend and I went skiing. I broke my leg and didn't keep up with the work." The explanation is nonchalant, but I do not see the criminal element. My silence encourages her to continue. She tells me, "The criminal side to that story happened when we threw a massive party in a chalet that didn't exactly belong to either of our families. It was too much fun and caused too much damage."
"And you fell behind in school. Why?"
"There was court and restitution along with the community service that I had to complete. I just didn't feel like being bothered with school. It didn't help that they banned me and Lilly, my friend, from seeing each other. They made her transfer schools, but our parents made the harshest punishments go away. I'm doing things differently now. I promise, Mason. If I'm a great student for the rest of the semester, will you pass me?"
"I will, as long as you stop submitting projects that can get me fired. Whenever you're dreaming about my cock, tell me, don't write it on some report that other teachers and staff can get their hands on." My laughter is cut short when a light flashes through Madison's window. I push myself off the bed, straightening my clothes and turning to her. "That's probably your mother."
Madison hustles over to the window, peeling her curtain open just enough to look outside.
"Yeah, that's her. You should get out of here." She dashes toward me, slamming her mouth against mine for a final kiss, slipping her tongue into my mouth. I moan, wishing we didn't have to end this, but I'm sure her parents aren't keen on me hanging around to fuck their daughter.
I pull away from Madison in time for her to show me a back door out of the house that takes me around to the front yard. Shadows of Madison and her mother pass by windows, hidden behind curtains. It's one of the hardest things I have to do, driving away from Madison without having her beside me.
There have been few instances in my life where I've been certain of anything. The more I think about it, the more I'm certain. Madison Nichols is going to be mine forever. I'm going to fix it so when I take her out, her parents and no one else are going to bat an eyelash. She'll belong to me.

MADISON
The last few weeks of the semester fly by, with Mason putting rules in place to keep his job and let me graduate without scandal. After nearly getting caught by my mother the night he surprised my folks for dinner, he made it so we were never in that position again.
It doesn't matter how many assignments I turn in. My rewards come as grades decent enough to allow me to walk for graduation. The morning of the joyous celebration has every student in the building early, with a few staff members there to make sure we stick to the program and rehearsals.
My last act of defiance is slipping away to walk the halls of the empty school I'm about to leave behind. Mason's a man of his word, getting me into the internship program at his father's company. I'm actually looking forward to my future, and a future with him no longer as my teacher.
When I step inside his English class, it surprises me to find him in the room alone.
"Good morning, Mr. Montoya," I tease him as he looks at me from across the room. He's standing in the corner by the window, a favorite spot of his where he loses his train of thought during our classes. I admit the view of the Rockies off in the distance makes it easy to lose yourself in the scenery.
"Madison, you're supposed to be outside with the rest of the students on the field."
"I'm exactly where I want to be, Mr. Montoya."
"Madison." The tone of my name on his lips is a warning because when we're alone, the only time I call him Mr. Montoya is when I'm looking for something. Something to ease the sexual tension between us. He knows me too well and isn't always ready to bend to my way of doing things.
