As I come down from my orgasm, I flop onto the bed on my back, moaning and writhing. Henn grabs my hands and raises them above my head, and the next thing I know, he’s thrusting inside me, pounding me. Railing me like never before. I dig my nails into his back as he thrusts, entranced by the movements of his body in mine. The lack of inhibition I feel in this moment.
When he comes, it’s with such force, I can actually feel his dick rippling inside me and his heart pounding behind his sternum. He kisses me deeply, and the next thing I know, he’s pulled out and his fingers are now inside me, swiping at the same spot the Sybian stimulated earlier. Swipe, swipe, swipe, Henn’s fingers go. And a moment later, a blast of white light bursts behind my eyelids, momentarily blinding me the same way coming indoors from a sunny day does.
When the pleasure subsides, my body goes slack. I feel boneless. Like a jellyfish. I’ve never had four orgasms in one sexual encounter before. Not even two, before Henn.
“My gob is beyond pummeled,” I whisper.
“It’s beaten to a bloody pulp?”
“It’s been horrifically, brutally murdered.”
Henn laughs. “Mine, too.” He scoops my sweaty, wet noodle of a body into his arms and kisses my mouth passionately. And then my cheeks, neck, temples and hair. “I’m so fucking in love with you, Hannah Milliken,” he gasps out. “You’re better than any fantasy. You’re perfect in every way. Incredible. Supernatural. The sexiest woman alive. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

“And that’s why Climb & Conquer is all about reaching higher than you ever thought you could reach, literally and metaphorically,” Jonas says into his microphone. “It’s about becoming better than you ever thought you could be.”
The large, packed crowd, including Hannah and me, erupts into enthusiastic applause. We’re at the grand opening celebration for Climb & Conquer—the national chain of rock-climbing gyms the Faraday brothers are launching today with much fanfare in Seattle.
For today’s festivities, the Faraday brothers—or whatever party planner they hired for today’s event—has done a spectacular job. There’s a live band on a raised stage with a dance floor immediately below it. Also, various tented booths along the walls of the large gym that include food vendors, craft beer, and a face painter for the kiddos. There’s also a booth with a banner inviting people to “Join the C&C Team!” with staffers standing at the ready to answer questions and accept applications. And, last but not least, given what we’re all here to celebrate, there’s indoor rock climbing, too. No shortage of towering rock walls of varying skill levels for people to climb, all of them manned with smiling personnel in bright blue C&C-branded T-shirts.
When Hannah and I arrived at this party a few minutes ago, Josh and Jonas were already onstage in front of an idle band, trading the microphone for their welcoming remarks. And so, Hannah and I quickly wormed our way toward the front of the packed crowd to a spot where our friends onstage would be able to see us and know we’d made it to their big day. It’s where we’re still standing now.
“As part of our genuine commitment to extraordinary aspiration,” Jonas continues from the stage, “Climb & Conquer has identified certain designated charities we’ll be supporting with a portion of our proceeds.”
As Jonas lists the charities, I zone out. Let my eyes wander. I notice Sarah and Kat standing to the side of the stage, smiling at their men—and when I notice Kat’s baby bump, I can’t help smiling from ear to ear. Kat didn’t have any noticeable bump the last time I saw her at Jonas and Sarah’s wedding—but it’s unmistakable now.
I nudge Hannah’s arm and whisper, “Kat’s showing.”
Hannah nods. “I saw. She looks like when actresses wear a fake baby bump on TV.”
“Jennifer Aniston on Friends.”
She giggles. “That’s exactly who I was thinking of.”
I return my attention to the stage, where Jonas is still talking about the mission of Climb & Conquer, but a moment later, my gaze drifts again. This time, to Josh’s smiling face as he listens intently to his brother. Damn, I’m proud of Josh today. It took balls to ditch the empire his father left for his two sons to start something totally new from scratch. Something the Faraday brothers could build together, with passion, from the ground up. It just goes to show, it’s never too late to follow your dreams. You simply have to figure out what they are and go for it.
I look at Hannah next to me and the sight of her quickens my heart rate. Getting to love Hannah, to build a life with her, that’s my dream. That truth has never been clearer to me.
Onstage, Jonas says something that draws my gaze back to him: “Simply figure out what your passion is and resolve to make excellence your habit.”
