My phone rang on the coffee table as Grace and I lounged about. “Ghost, I need to have a word with you. I can pop over in twenty minutes if that works for you.”

“Sure, Cyber. Did you find anything?”

“Yes, but I need to show you rather than explain it over the phone.”

An hour later and Cyber had given me all the information I needed, but first, I had a couple of bodies to drop before I let my boss know I was still kicking. Vengeance danced in my mind over and over as I pictured returning the favor to my enemies.

I dropped my head back after popping more painkillers. My body ached every day, but it would get better in time. Granted, time wasn’t on my side. I had a mission that needed to be accomplished before it was too late. The sooner we disposed of these assholes, the sooner we’d save some other lives.

Grace’s family’s fate wasn’t an uncommon story—a good, hardworking family hit by the drug epidemic that riddled the United States. Drug cartels, politicians, and their minions didn’t care who they destroyed as long as they got rich and powerful off of it. I wasn’t just doing this for my own revenge. This was for all the lives that had been irrevocably torn apart.

By six o’clock, I’d said goodbye to my woman, leaving her in the care of Doc and Jackson as well as the rest of the prospects, while Boomer, Cowboy, Law, Blade, Boss, and I went to go have some fun.

In the middle of the night, six of us arrived at the usual spot where I knew a delivery would be made like fucking clockwork along the border. They lied to me about some shit, but not about everything.

Violent rage boiled in me when I spotted two of the fuckers who helped kill me. I wanted their heads, killing them slowly, but the likelihood of that happening was zero to none. No one was getting out of here alive. We couldn’t risk the chance that they could get away.

Every single bastard in that group deserved their deaths, and we would deliver it, faster and smarter than they had been with me. Blade and Cowboy hid behind a large rock while Boomer set up the explosives for the right moment.

As soon as the plane landed with the new shipment of drugs, it was our time to strike.

They unloaded, and then we saw three women included in the drug shipment. Fury and anger rushed through all of us.

“This just became a rescue mission as well,” I told Boomer.

He nodded. “Damn right.” He gave the signal, and on cue he detonated the bombs in the right spots. Every one one of us was an expert marksman. We wouldn’t miss our targets. The women screamed and ducked down, which was the best move for them just in case those pussies didn’t have as good an aim as us.

The Riders opened fire on all of the gunners. Bullets flew, hitting their bodies quickly. Neither side knew who started, but they ended up opening fire on each other. As we dropped the last fucker, I walked over to Ernesto, who was on his back, not dead but almost there, and I smiled.

He blanched, blood draining from his face as he saw the devil looking back at him.

“Rico?” he gasped.

“Looks like you’ve seen a ghost.” Grinning from ear to ear, I popped him between the eyes, and we all went to work to clean up the mess, sending the blindfolded women into our vehicles while loading the bodies onto the plane.

“Pick me up at the border in six hours,” Blade said, boarding the jet.

We waited until he took off before jumping into the vehicles. When I turned to the girls, I realized they were just girls. Shit. They couldn't have been more than eighteen, if that.

"Please don't kill us," one blonde begged, tears streaming down her face. Fuck, all of them were full of tears. Well, the auburn-haired one appeared to be holding back from letting them fall. They were covered in dirt, their clothes torn and minimal.

"Stories, now," Boomer commanded, attempting to get their attention. "Speak, or we'll drop you off on the side of the road."

The one with the auburn hair spoke first, clearing her dry throat. I pulled out a bottle of water and gave it to her. She took a sip and then shared it with the other two, who had to be twins or close in age. "Shayla and Kayla are twins, and I'm Lena. We're seventeen. We were taken from our foster homes and sold to those men. Thank you for killing them."

"Do you have a place you'd like to go? If you come with us, your secrecy is what we ask. Nothing else. We'll help get you the help and guidance you need."
