“Did you like it?” Diesel asks, grinning.
It’s his arm that I’m attached to, and to be fair, I reach for Dodge’s arm too. “I loved it!”
“Oh, it seems like you enjoyed some of the beverages from the bar, too,” Dodge says, looking over my head to where Becca is standing.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude,” I say. “Do you all remember my friend Becca?”
“We do,” Chase says, reaching for her hand. “Hi, Becca.”
“Hi,” Becca nods to all of them and shakes their offered hands as I move over to Chase and try to reach my arm around his neck.
“Was she overserved?” Chase asks Becca.
“She didn’t have that much, but she rarely ever drinks. I didn’t realize how it hit her, until it was too late.”
“The drinks were really good,” I tell Chase, wanting him to know I enjoyed everything about my visit to their club. Except for the crowds, but there’s no point in mentioning that.
“Is that right? Oops, hang on.” Maddox puts his arm around me, holding me steady just as my legs go wobbly.
“I’m ready for that private show you’ve been talking about,” I tell him. I mean to say it in a whisper, because Becca doesn’t need to hear, but I’m not sure it comes out that way. My voice doesn’t sound normal at all, but that’s probably because I’ve been cheering so loudly.
“Can I come to your house?” I ask the twins before turning to my friend. “Becca, I won’t need a ride home. I’m all set.”
“Oh, no. You are not set,” Becca says, grabbing my purse as it’s about to slip from my arm.
“We can take her to her apartment,” Chase says to Becca, “and you can be sure nothing will be happening tonight.”
“What?” I try to go to Chase, but Maddox has a firm grip under my arm. “You said ’more later’ and I want more! It’s later now, and I’m ready for more. I want to have sex with all of you,” I whisper.
Dodge leans down to brush stray strands of hair from my cheeks. “We’ll be all for that, another night when you’re feeling better and thinking more clearly.”
“I can take her home,” Becca says.
“It’s looking like she’ll need to be carried in,” Chase says. “If you’re comfortable giving us her address, you have our word that we won’t be taking advantage of her drunkenness.”
My drunkenness? Is that why they don’t want to give me a private show anymore?
“Are you able to leave soon?” Becca asks. “I can lead you to her apartment. My sister is Jade’s roommate, so I’ll stop in too.”
“Dodge and Diesel can follow you while Maddox and I finish up here,” Chase says. “We’re glad Jade has a friend who’s concerned about her safety.”
“I needa pee,” I tell Becca in another accidentally too-loud whisper.
“C’mon, girlfriend. Let’s go,” Becca says. She has my purse over her shoulder and offers her other arm for me to hold.
Maddox lets go of me and Becca leads me toward the restroom sign. My legs are quite unsteady. “I’m gonna do it with them, Becca. We’re gonna do it.”
“Not tonight, you’re not,” she says. “You need some sleep. Do you have to work tomorrow?”
I nod my head, and Becca shakes hers sympathetically in response, and then I don’t remember anything else for a while.

“How can something be so hard and also so comfortable?” I ask. My head is resting on Dodge’s chest, bouncing against him in a soothing rhythm. I try to turn to see his face, but his grip tightens, keeping me in place in his arms.
“Hold on. Almost there,” he says.
I don’t hear a knock or a door opening, but soon we leave the cool night air for the brightness of my apartment.
“This is Dodge and Diesel, though I’m not sure which is which,” Becca says, and I wonder why she’s introducing me to men I already know, until I hear my roommate Rachel say hello.
“Nice to meet you,” Dodge says to her, the muscles of his chest flexing under my cheek. There’s more talk of introductions, and then Dodge says, “If you point me to her bedroom, I can put her to bed.”
Now we’re getting somewhere.
Did I mention how good Dodge smells? I take in big lungfuls of his spicy, manly scent as we start to move again. He’s so warm all around me, and I would love to curl up and take a nap right here, but no — I don’t want to nap, because Dodge is taking me to my bedroom.
Where there’s a bed. Where we can do things. Fun things. Where we can be alone, and where I can see the last little bit of the twins that I didn’t see during their show, but it won’t be a little bit, not at all. I saw enough to know that it will be big. They will be big.
