The shower was starting to produce steam in the small bathroom, so he climbed inside to let the hot water beat over his aching muscles. Meridian bowed his head and closed his eyes. He braced both hands against the tiles and began to do some breathing exercises that always helped him to focus and calm himself. As much as he wanted to devour the sexy man, he was going to continue to be patient and not overwhelm Ex more than he already was. They'd had eight years together, and he planned to have many more.

Meridian stepped out of the shower and wrapped his towel low around his waist. He wished he could’ve stayed in there longer, but the cabin had a small water heater and they had to share. He didn’t feel like grooming at the moment and decided to run his comb through his hair and splash on some after-shower Kenneth Cole body splash. He reached for the doorknob but came to an abrupt stop when he heard movement outside his door. And just that fast, all the work he’d done to calm himself was undone.

“Fuck,” he sighed. Ex was in his bed... waiting for him.

He balled up his fists hard enough to leave nail indentations in his palms. He needed so damn much but how could he take so selfishly? He opened the door, not sure what he was expecting to see but it wasn’t Ex, naked on his back with his hard, flushed dick aiming towards him and his hands fisting the sheets. His eyes were half closed and his mouth was open, panting, as if he was having an erotic dream. Meridian thrust one hand out and braced himself on the edge of the dresser as a wave of dizziness washed over him.

There didn’t appear to be any confusion about what Ex wanted from him and despite how tired and exhausted Meridian had been a few minutes ago, that was no longer the case. He felt totally revived. Any other man would’ve been on top of Ex and humping and thrusting by now, but Meridian was a disciplined man.

“Open your eyes,” he demanded.

It took a moment, but Ex did what he asked. Stormy, hooded gray eyes met his own and Meridian shook at the unashamed want swirling in them. They stared for a long moment because that was what they did. Because they were used to staying silent, and not showing reaction so they’d become good at reading the other’s nonverbal clues.

Ex’s chest pumped faster, and while Meridian could tell that his partner was trying to lie still, those fists were still grasping for purchase so tightly that Ex’s knuckles had turned white. His cock leaked at the tip and Meridian licked his lips, knowing he was finally going to have a taste.

He yanked his towel off and walked towards the foot of the bed, making Ex yearn for his touch with every aching second that dragged by. He crawled up his partner’s body, only letting his fingertips graze over the many wounds and scars that Ex had earned over the years. And he knew the story behind each one. Some injuries they’d sustained together, like the matching bullet wounds on their biceps where they’d both tried to shield the other. Meridian leaned in and flicked his tongue over the sensitive puckered scar on Ex’s arm, eliciting a soft moan from him. He let his own desire flow as he tongued along Ex’s cool pale skin.

Ex followed his movements as Meridian cataloged and cherished every mark and blemish on his upper body. “I didn’t think you wanted to be with me tonight,” Meridian spoke, making Ex shiver beneath him.

“I don’t think I can stay away any longer.”

“You don’t have to,” Meridian whispered against Ex’s lips.

Ex clasped both hands around Meridian’s neck and pulled him until their lips touched softly. He put all his weight on top of Ex, wanting to take this all the way, but he was going off Ex’s cues. Whatever he wanted he’d give him.

“Mere,” Ex groaned when Meridian sucked on his throat.

“What do you want... right now?” Meridian asked. His voice was so rough and full of lust he had to clear his throat.

Ex watched him for long moment, that penetrating gaze holding him prisoner. His partner flushed beneath him, his cool skin turning a shade of pink as he turned over and put his ass snug against Meridian’s hardness. He clenched his teeth and held back the curses as Ex spread his arms out and pressed his cheek into the pillow as if nothing more needed to be said.

Meridian almost came all over Ex’s smooth, round cheeks as he stretched his body completely over his partner and nestled his dick in the crevice of his ass. It took a lot of strength for him not to rut and grind like a horny teenager, but he wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to behave.
