This particular dish smelled oddly like the liver and onions her mom used to make her eat as a child. Since Iyanna hated liver and onions, she didn’t love the smell. And unfortunately, the taste was even worse.
The thick paste had the strong, mineral and blood flavor of ground up organ meats. Though Iyanna knew it was made from fruit, she still couldn’t eat much of it.
However, this dish was soon whisked away quickly, to be replaced with a bowl of gloopy white liquid.
“Ah, do my eyes deceive me or is this flitter’flusk?” Baronet Sin’estor asked, smiling.
“You are not mistaken, my dear Baronet.” Ostensio nodded triumphantly. “Of course, most people serve it frozen and scooped into balls or molded into bars, but to honor you tonight, I had it melted.”
So he’s basically serving us melted ice cream? Iyanna thought. It was too bad—ice cream would have been a nice change after the other disgusting foods.
However, stirring her straw-spoon through the soupy gloop assured her that it probably wouldn’t have been much better frozen. It had the consistency of slime or mucous and it hung off her spoon in long, glistening white strings when she lifted it out of the bowl.
Oh my Sweet Lord, it looks like cum!
This time, Iyanna couldn’t even try—the very thought of putting the slimy cum-stuff in her mouth made her want to gag. There were limits, even to her adventurous curiosity. She didn’t mind tasting a bit of precum, especially if she was giving a lover a blow job, but there was no way she was going to eat a whole bowl of the stuff!
No one else around the table seemed to be enjoying the melted slime either—except for Minister Ostensio and Baronet Sin’estor. The Baronet was slurping up the gloopy white mess eagerly and Ostensio was sipping delicately from his straw, clearly trying to make a good impression on his special guest.
At last the flitter’flusk was cleared away and Iyanna was just beginning to hope that maybe it had counted as dessert and so was the last course, when the servants brought something else.
It was a thick, grainy purple pudding that smelled both sweet and bland when Iyanna leaned down to sniff it.
“Ah—fondle mush! My dear Master-Doctor Ostensio, you really shouldn’t have,” Baronet Sin’estor exclaimed eagerly. “Truly, you are spoiling me tonight.”
“Well, what’s a banquet without a healthy serving of fondle-mush?” Ostensio said, smiling broadly. “Do dig in, my dear Baronet!”
“Don’t mind if I do.” Baronet Sin’estor remarked, digging his spoon-straw eagerly into the purple pudding.
Warily, Iyanna did the same. This time, to her relief, the flavor was actually not bad. It reminded her a little of rice pudding, though the texture was more like wet cornbread. At any rate, by this time she was getting quite hungry—it had been some time since the tea party in the hotel elevator. Before she knew it, she had finished the entire portion of the oddly named fondle-mush. She even licked her spoon clean before putting the long silver utensil down beside her bowl.
“Ah, finally we have found something you approve of,” Baronet Sin’estor remarked. He too had finished his mush and he was smiling at her with an expectant kind of grin.
“Yes, it was quite good,” Iyanna said. “It reminded me of a dessert from my home planet—rice pudding. Why is it named ‘fondle mush’ though? Is it made from the, er, fondle plant or something like that?”
“We have no plant or flower by that name,” the Baronet said blandly. “The mush is named for the actions those who consume it will soon wish to perform or have performed on them.”
“What?” Iyanna began to get a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. “What are you talking about?”
But before the Baronet could answer, Minister Ostensio rose from his place and clapped his hands importantly.
“Excuse me, excuse me, please!” he called, raising his voice to be heard at the end of the table.
Everyone stopped talking and turned to look at the rotund little man. Ostensio waited until every eye was on him and the only sound was the discrete clinking of the servants clearing the fondle-mush bowls. Finally, he nodded, as though satisfied that everyone was listening and began talking again.
“Thank you. Gentlemen of the Royal Botany Society, for your kind attention. You have been promised a spectacle at tonight’s annual banquet and you shall have it. For we have with us tonight, a rare Viridi Femma, all the way from the other end of the galaxy!” He pointed at Iyanna—who was totally caught off guard—and then motioned at her impatiently. “Well? Do get up!”
Uncertainly, Iyanna stood up and made a stiff kind of bow. Every eye was fixed on her and she was uncomfortably aware that her nipples had chosen this moment to go extremely stiff. Also, why was she throbbing and tingling between her legs? What was going on?
