Dra’vik felt another surge of reluctant admiration. Damn, but he loved a strong female and this little Elite wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself in the least! Still, he wasn’t about to let her see how he felt.
“Maybe I’d give you more respect if you weren’t making a display of yourself in my dreams last night,” he growled.
Iyanna shrugged.
“Look, it’s not my fault you keep dreaming of me. I’m not about to cower under the covers when I’m in the privacy of my own suite on the off chance that you might be dreaming and happen to see me. Besides, you sent me those leaves and told me how to use them. How can you be surprised at what you saw?”
Dra’vik raised his eyebrows at her.
“How can I be surprised? When you were using the voice coin I sent you as a pleasure device and moaning at the top of your lungs that you were coming?”
This time her cheeks got dark with a blush but she still refused to drop her eyes.
“All right, I might have gotten a little carried away,” she admitted. “But how could I know you’d be sleeping at just that moment and seeing what I was doing? And you can’t tell me you don’t moan or groan when you come. It’s natural and healthy to express your emotions during a sexual release.”
Dra’vik glared at her.
“You don’t want to know what happens when I come, little girl. I guarantee it would send you running for the fucking door.”
She cocked an eyebrow at him.
“What? The same way you were sure I’d run away screaming if I saw you in the light? But here I am and I’m not afraid, even if you’re the biggest son-of-a-bitch I’ve ever seen.” She looked him up and down and shook her head. “Size doesn’t scare me, Dra’vik. And you can’t shame me for following my own natural impulses either—I had enough of that with my ex and I’m not going down that road again.”
Dra’vik frowned—‘ex’ was a term he wasn’t familiar with. But then, he hadn’t been speaking English that long—none of the Monstrum had.
“Your ex? What do you mean by that?” he rumbled.
“My ex-fiancé,” she said shortly. “His name was Ian and he didn’t want me to…well, to do anything, really.” She shook her head. “Anyway, I’m through letting a man tell me how to live my life. From now on I’m going to do what feels right without shame—that’s a promise I made to myself and I’m not about to break it for you.”
Dra’vik really didn’t know what to say to this. There was a human word for the way she was acting—an English word. What was it again?
“You’re classy—that’s the word for what you are,” he said, finding it at last—he thought anyway. “Or is brassy?” he muttered, frowning.
“What is this word supposed to mean?” Iyanna demanded, raising an eyebrow at him.
“It’s a word that means feisty and defiant—teasing and tempting all at once,” Dra’vik growled. “Fuck—I haven’t been speaking English that long. But whatever it is, it’s the perfect word for you, little girl.”
“I think the word you want is ‘sassy.’” She shot him a grin and fluttered her long eyelashes at him. “And yes, I am sassy, so you’d better get used to it and stop being so damn grumpy. Now help me up into this ship—it’s built for someone your size, not mine—I feel like I’m trying to climb into one of those jacked-up pickup trucks back on Earth.”
Dra’vik didn’t know what kind of vehicle she was referencing, but she was right that they had to get going. Also, she was too small to climb the long distance up into his ship without some assistance.
He could have given her a hand, but there was an easier way. Reaching down, he gripped her by the waist and raised her easily into the ship, placing her gently on the—for her, anyway—oversized seat.
“Hey!” she gasped and he noticed her knuckles where she was gripping her golden clothing case had gone tight. “I never said you could lift me up like that!”
Dra’vik shrugged as he began sorting out the seat harness to strap her in.
“You asked for help, I gave it. What did you expect, little girl?”
“Maybe some warning? I didn’t say you could lift me up and carry me around like a doll, you know,” she said, frowning.
Dra’vik stopped strapping her in for a moment and leaned forward, looking into her eyes.
“So you’ll let me suck your nipples and lap your sweet pussy, but you don’t want me picking you up?”
She lifted her chin, looking right back.
“You…you never licked me there,” she protested, and he noted that her heart rate had gone up and her sweet voice sounded slightly breathless.
“No, but I would’ve if old Stor’kuum hadn’t come along at just the wrong moment,” Dra’vik pointed out. “You would have let me do it, too—admit it, little girl.”
