He finally released her hands, grabbed hold of her hips to keep her steady, and continued to pound into her while she writhed beneath him. His mouth was still clamped tightly over her nipple and—finally left to their own devices—one of her hands curled around the back of his neck in attempt to keep his mouth in place and the fingernails of the other dug into the muscled flesh of his shoulder blade. As Lilah rode the turbulent wave of her orgasm, she was vaguely aware of Ben crying out against her breast, before he tensed and shuddered against her, his thrusts becoming jerky, shorter, as if he couldn’t bear to leave the snug warm haven he’d found inside her.

They descended from the chaotic crescendo together, the peaceful glow that began to radiate between them only occasionally wracked by a violent shudder as their orgasms waned. Lilah felt as if every bone in her body had simply melted away and Ben, for the first time since she’d met him, appeared completely relaxed.

Ben was still slumped on top of her, a growing dead weight of hot, hard masculine flesh that blanketed her from chest to foot. His penis was still buried inside her, sporadically jerking and sending gentle ripples of sensation through her as it gradually lost its formidable hardness. His head was snuggled between her breasts, an ear pressed against her heart, and Lilah only then realized that she was stroking her fingers through his damp hair.

“I’m heavy,” he mumbled against her breast, making no attempt to remove his weight from her.

“Hmm,” she agreed, still stroking his hair, enjoying the novelty of being able to touch him so freely.

“I should move.”

“Hmm.”

“Later…”

“Hmm.”

A soft snore was her only reply and she smiled and sighed quietly, her other hand exploring the contours of his broad back. He was magnificent and she could definitely appreciate that male beauty.

But, a tiny voice reminded her, he’s not yours to appreciate. And he’s not yours to keep.

She shifted slightly, and became aware of the spreading dampness beneath her.

Ugh, seriously?

“Hey!” She balled her hand into a fist and thumped his shoulder.

He jerked in shock and lifted his head to glare at her.

“What the fuck? What’s wrong? I’m too heavy, sorry.” He shifted his weight to the side and flopped down on his back. Lilah sucked in a deep—much-needed—breath, both relieved and regretful that he’d moved.

“You didn’t use a condom,” she told him, and pushed herself up onto her elbow to glare at him. He yawned in total unconcern, lifting one heavy arm to cover his face with his forearm, the other folded over his torso with his big hand spread over his abs. It was a pose of complete relaxation. His long, bare legs were crossed at the ankles, even his damned penis looked all smug and content and sleepy where it lay curled against his left thigh.

“Did you hear me? You didn’t use a condom.”

He shrugged and shifted his arm just enough to peek at her with one eye. “So?”

“So? I could get pregnant, you dick!”

“Well, I don’t have any condoms because you said you wanted to try for a baby straight away.”

“That was before.”

“You’re really destroying the whole post-sex buzz thing, y’know?”

“You know what my plans are, and those plans don’t include single motherhood.”

Any semblance of relaxation fled that big body and his arm came down as he pinned her with his piercing stare.

“Any child we have will be raised by both of us. Together. Understood?” His low, lethal tone brooked no argument, but Lilah refused to be cowed. She sat up, scooting up to lean against the headboard, and happily moving out of the huge wet spot. Seriously, it was impressive how much the man had come. But at the same time it was a little daunting, considering their current discussion.

“This conversation is probably moot. Thankfully the likelihood of pregnancy is very low for me right now. But if—and right now it’s a very big if—we ever do this again, you’re using condoms. Understood?”

“I tossed all my condoms before the wedding,” was his moody response.

“Get more.” She regretted the command as soon as she said it, and then regretted it even more when she saw the calculating gleam in his eyes.

“Sounds like that if is shrinking by the second,” he pointed out, no small amount of smug in his voice.

Lilah frowned down at his rapidly lengthening and hardening penis, which seemed to be growing in direct proportion to that shrinking if.

His hand dropped to her thigh, just above her knee, and kneaded her soft, sensitive flesh gently. “Up for a repeat performance?”

She stared at him in shock, unable to believe the staggering gall of that question. But he wasn’t looking at her and so didn’t see the expression on her face. Instead, his focus was on his hand, which was moving up her thigh with inexorable painstaking slowness.
