I swallowed hard against the impending emotion. “So…you don’t want the stripper to push her tits in your face anymore tonight?”

“No. I do not.” He shook his head. “And, please, for the love of God, don’t go calling any other strippers to come here either. Not tonight. Not tomorrow. Not fluffing ever, honey. I might’ve enjoyed shit like that back in the day, but things are different now. I just want you. All day, every day, until the end of fucking time.”

My bottom lip quivered, and I shut my eyes tight to try to get those damn emotions of mine in check.

But Thatch didn’t miss my struggle. Stepping closer, he wrapped his big, strong arms around me and pulled me tight to his chest. “I love you, Crazy. You’re all I need,” he whispered into my hair.

“I love you too,” I whispered back, tears now slipping from beneath my lids.

Without another word, I buried my face into his chest and sucked in a deep breath. The delicious, sexy scent of my favorite human being filled my nostrils, and I was thankful for the reprieve from body glitter and Magic Mark’s weird baby-oil smell.

With one gentle hand beneath my chin, my husband lifted my tear-filled eyes to meet his.

“You okay, honey?”

I nodded.

His smile was soft, and with his lips to mine, he took my mouth in a sweet kiss. It was gentle and tender and all of the things I hadn’t realized I needed in that moment.

If I were being really truly honest with myself, the stripper party hadn’t turned out as I had originally imagined or planned. I mean, stripper parties were stressful as fuck and…kind of weird and awkward at the same time.

Frankly, I was silently thankful Thatch had waved the white flag on ours.

Though, your two strippers are still inside the room doing god knows what…

“So…uh…now what do we do?” I asked, leaning back to meet his steady gaze.

“What do you mean?”

“Well…I hired them for six hours, and they’ve only been here for, like, an hour…”

“You fluffing hired them for six hours?” A shocked laugh jumped from his throat. “Honey, that’s an insane amount of fucking time.”

I rolled my eyes. “It’s not that much time.”

“Six hours?” More laughter fell from his lips. “Baby, most strip clubs don’t even stay open for that long. Making someone give you lap dances for six fucking hours borders on abuse.”

I almost refuted his statement, but when I started to really think about it, I realized I might’ve gone a bit overboard. “Okay, fine. I guess six hours might’ve been asking a little too much.”

“Definitely. Six hours of anything is too long. I bet by the end, Magic Mark’s balls would’ve wrinkled up like he was in the pool all goddamn day,” he said with a snort and hugged me tight to his chest. At the vision of wrinkly prune balls, I laughed too.

“But seriously, T, what do we do? Just tell them to leave? That seems kind of rude.”

He looked down at me and searched my eyes for a brief moment.

But then, his eyes lit up and his lips quirked into the famous Thatcher smirk I loved so much.

“I think I have an idea.”

I tilted my head to the side. “Okayyy…”

“C’mon, honey.” One big arm wrapped around my shoulders, Thatcher led us back inside our suite, where Emma Bone and Magic Mark sat on the chairs we’d vacated.

“Mark, Emma, you guys were great, but Cass and I have decided to take this night in another direction,” my husband announced, waving his hand in front of his face to clear some of the smoke. “So, after you turn off your smoke machine and strobe light, if you’d like to get cleaned up and put your clothes back on, you are welcome to hang out here tonight and eat some pizza and watch a movie with us.”

Our strippers just sat there, staring at us in confusion.

“Don’t worry, we’ll still pay you for the six hours,” I added swiftly. Thankfully, that seemed to perk them both up.

“For real?” Emma Bone asked, and I nodded.

“Definitely.”

“So, what do you say?” Thatch smirked and gestured two big hands, palm up, out in front of himself. “Let’s nix the lap dances and go straight for dinner and a movie?”

Magic Mark shrugged his shoulders. “Sure. Why not. I didn’t have anything else booked for the night.”

Thatch smirked down at me, and instantly, I knew what he was thinking. No way these two could’ve booked anything else tonight because you reserved them for six fluffing hours.

“Don’t even say it, T, or else I’ll punch you in the dick.”

“My lips are sealed, Crazy.” He winked at me. “Now, let’s order some pizza so we can hang out with our strippers and watch a rom-com.”

Of fucking course, that was the kind of movie he’d want to watch.
