“Come closer, female.”
She obeyed without hesitation, not even feeling shame over that fact.
“You have not answered me.”
She licked her lips and looked at each one before bringing her gaze back to the eldest. Revealing anything to these males seemed dangerous, but then again, if they saw her as a person and not a pleasurable object, they might sympathize with her situation.
“I don’t know what you mean, sir.” He made a low hum in his throat, and she didn’t miss how the other two shifted in their seats.
“That title sounds delicious coming from you.” The corner of his full mouth kicked up. “Shall I tell it like it is?”
Luna knew what he was referring to, but she certainly wouldn’t admit that she lusted for them. Besides, she knew damn well their senses were far more attuned than hers, and they could smell her desire. Did they get off on humiliating her?
When she didn’t respond, he leaned forward so his arms rested on the table. She let her eyes take in the hard, muscular chest and limbs. With the intricately tattooed swirl designs that wrapped around both of his thick forearms and bulging biceps, he certainly was an impressive creature.
They all were.
She knew enough about his kind that those tattoos spoke of his lineage and royal blood and of his prowess on the battlefield. This male was the next in line for the throne, that much she knew without a doubt.
“I like my females shy and docile.” His somewhat change of subject took her back a bit. “Let me introduce myself before I tell you how things will go.”
His words were right to the point, as if he wasn’t accustomed to hearing the word no.
“I am Erak, the eldest son of King Manatak Asek. These are my brothers, Genet,” he pointed to the male with the sea foam eyes, “and that is Raimi.” He gestured toward the male with the eyes that reminded her of the darkest sky.
The three of them were the most masculine and powerful males she had ever seen, and that was saying a lot since she had seen an array of beings from all over the galaxy.
She couldn’t think clearly, not when all of them were watching her like she was the main course at a feast
“Luna.” Erak murmured her name like it was sex and he had just come.
Where had that thought come from? This was just too much. The way her mind and body were acting was a foreign feeling, and she didn’t care for it, but she had to continuously remind herself that if she wanted out of here, she had to play the part.
Play the part, Luna. Get over your fear of the unknown, especially if you want to live.
“What say you, Luna? Would you like to join us at our table?” Erak spoke roughly. “We can smell how hungry you are.” Taking an involuntary step back, she glanced around the tavern and saw Maximo in the corner, speaking to one of the more frequent flyers at the bar.
Although there were females dancing all around, their tits and cunts on display for the taking, the Aktullas seemed intent on how she would respond.
“I... please excuse me.” She was surprised when they let her walk away. On any other night, she would have had to fend off the drunken males that were intent on taking what they wanted.
Moving quickly to the kitchen door, she opened it and stepped inside. Willing herself to stay calm, Luna breathed in deeply and tried to get control of herself. Talking about doing something was not the same as being presented with it. That she found out instantly.
Of course, she wanted to escape, wanted to survive, but everything had moved at a lightning pace. No, this was right and the direction she needed things to go.
She needed to get out there before they decided she wasn’t worth their time, that she was too flighty, and before she blew her chance at having them take her off this fucking planet.
Chapter Seven
ERAK
Erak watched the small and fragile human female disappear behind the door.
“Brothers, I want her.” Erak glanced at Raimi and glowered. He may agree with Raimi, but he could tell that they had also startled her with their aggressive moves. Clearly, she was an innocent amongst the trash.
He had no intentions of even wanting a female when they first made the decision to travel to find their mates, but then he had seen her, and everything he had thought, wanted, and felt changed in that one moment.
The scent of her desire had saturated the air around them, causing his damn dick to go hard instantly.
“I want her, too,” Genet murmured.
Erak took a long drink of his ale and glanced at his brothers. They were all staring at the door that she had disappeared behind, as if they could see Luna through the wood and steel.
