I grin at his words. “How about you do both?”

Landon growls and spins me around, pushing me against the living room wall. The bouquet of roses hits the ground as his hands glide up my thighs and under my dress, pushing the material up to my waist. He wastes no time undoing his belt and pulling his dick out of his pants.

His mouth crashes against mine as he lifts me. My legs wrap around his waist, and he pushes my thong to the side, entering me in one fluid motion. We both moan as he fills me to the hilt.

As he takes me against the wall, I wonder how I lived all these years without his touch, his love, without him. And it’s then, as he grips my ass and kisses me passionately, I realize I wasn’t living, but merely surviving. I was going through the motions, focusing on my children. But I was dead inside, and it was Landon’s touch, his love, that brought me back to life.

Every thrust into me is deep and sensual, perfect. And before I know it, we’re both finding our release.

Landon stills inside me, and his eyes meet mine. He shakes his head, like he’s shocked at what we just did. “That wasn’t supposed to happen. I was supposed to wine and dine you, remember?”

“Yeah, but if I recall, I did tell you I prefer my dessert first.” I wink and Landon laughs.

After we get cleaned up, and I reapply my lipstick and fix my hair so it doesn’t look like I was just fucked against a wall, I put the roses in a vase and fill them with water, and then we take off.

The conversation during the drive is nice and relaxed. I realize quickly we’re heading out of town and into the city. About fifteen minutes later, we arrive at The Providence Art Museum.

“Landon.” I gasp. “Are you serious right now?”

I mentioned to him briefly the other day I was dying to see an exhibit here but couldn’t seem to find the time. So, of course he made it happen.

“We better get in there,” he says. “A sexy little minx in a red dress distracted me and now we’re late.”

We spend the next couple hours checking out the exhibit. The different paintings give me such inspiration I find myself jotting down ideas for lessons. When I explain each one to Landon, he gives me his input. It feels good to have someone to talk to, to bounce ideas off of.

Once we’ve seen everything at least once, we head to dinner. We end up at a quiet, hole-in-the-wall Greek restaurant. We spend dinner talking about this weekend, and when he mentions getting the tickets to the game, I insist he take the boys. There’s no way Ella will want to go, and baseball bores me to death. Hunter will love having Landon’s attention.

After dinner, instead of going back to my place, Landon suggests we head to his for a change of scenery, where I spent the rest of the night enjoying my second and third and fourth helping of the best tasting dessert: Landon.

Twenty-Four

Landon

“Show me! Show me!” Ella jumps up and down as I open the paint can so she can see the pink she’s asked me to pick up to paint her balance beam with. It’s Saturday and we’re spending the day building the balance beam and then painting it. Harper also mentioned barbequing this afternoon and having Bridget, Simon, and their kids over to go swimming since it’s hot as hell outside and she has a pool. Figuring it would be the perfect setup for my brother and his family to officially meet Harper and her kids, I asked if it would be cool if I invite them over. Of course she said the more, the merrier.

“You know we have to build the balance beam before you can paint it, right?” I remind Ella, who’s still jumping up and down excitedly.

“I know! I know!” she exclaims.

“Okay, you ready?”

She nods.

“And here it is, Jo Jo pink.” I lift the lid off the can and Ella squeals in excitement.

“It’s sparkly too!” She claps her hands.

“Yep. I had them add some glitter to the paint.” When she dragged me into her room last night to show me exactly what Jo Jo pink was, I swear my eyes almost bled from all the pink in her room. The walls, the bedding, the shaggy rug. Pink. Pink. Pink. And on top of that, almost everything was sparkly, like a huge bottle of glitter threw up all over her stuff. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Apparently Jo Jo is some popular actress or singer or whatever, who wears these ridiculously large pink bows. Ella insisted her balance beam has to be the same color, so I took one of the bows and brought it to the paint store so they could replicate the exact shade of pink she wanted, and then asked them to mix some glitter into it. Based on how loud she’s shrieking and squealing, I’d say they nailed it.
