“Oh?” I ask, prompting him to go on. Kade is four now, and the spitting image of his father. Sometimes, I swear I managed to just clone Ronan with the way the two of them are together.
“Apparently, he told another little boy off because the kid pulled a girl’s hair,” Ronan explains, his grin widening as pride practically radiates off him. There’s not an inch of him that seems disappointed in our son shouting at another kid, and I agree wholeheartedly.
“He’s your double,” I say with a laugh. “Always standing up for those who need it. I hope his teacher doesn’t expect us to be mad at him for this ‘cause I couldn’t be prouder.”
Ronan nods in agreement. “I was gonna take him out for ice cream after school to show him how not in trouble he is,” he says, and my heart squeezes in my chest. God, I love this man so much. Not only is he the best husband ever, but he’s the most incredible dad.
“Sounds like a plan,” I agree, smiling wide. “I’ll definitely need some ice cream after all the work on my to-do list today.”
My husband comes closer to the desk, leaning over the stacks of paperwork to kiss me. “You look damn good behind the desk, though,” he compliments, making me flush. “Look even better perched on top of it.”
Memories of that first night together on the desk at the bed and breakfast flash through my mind. Heat rushes through me, and he must see the effect he’s having on me because his eyes darken and he groans.
“I’d look even better spread out over it,” I flirt back, squealing as Ronan rushes around the desk and grabs me from my office chair. Paper and pens scatter over the floor as he sets me on top of the desk, leaning over me and pushing my thighs apart so he can press closer.
I moan as he kisses me, his hands traveling under my shirt. Work forgotten, my husband tests my theory, spreading me out on the desk and making me scream his name.
The End. Thanks for reading!
