“Calm down. I want you to move there with me, too, dummy.”
“You know before you came along, I commanded respect. No one would call me a dummy.”
“You can punish me for it later.”
“I’m going to, and I don’t need your permission to do it either.”
She kisses me. “I love you.”
“Tell me what you’re thinking? You want us to move into your father’s home?”
“Yes. It’s what he would have wanted. It’s the perfect home and plus, Martha is much happier in the kitchen there. She hates your kitchen,” she says with a soft smile.
“She’s mentioned it,” I mutter.
“Niko, our child deserves a house that’s really a home. I haven’t been able to bring myself to sell it anyway. It would also solve that problem. Honestly, every time I’m there, I feel like my father is there in spirit. He wants us there almost as much as I do.”
“Is it really that important to you?”
“Yes,” she insists.
“Fine, we will contact a moving company and begin the process. We can have the realtor list this one.”
“Really? Just like that?” she asks.
I shake my head. I don’t know why she thought it would be a problem. I’d move heaven and hell for her. Right now, I’m loving the excitement that fills her face. Her eyes shine making me feel like a king for making her dreams come true.
A man could get addicted to that look.
“Just like that,” I confirm.
“You mean it? You’d move all the way across town and live in my father’s home that easily?”
“Haven’t you figured it out yet, Em?” I ask, raising my eyebrows in surprise. “I’ll give you anything.”
And I will. She will never want for anything. Ever.
“What about the baby I’m carrying? Will you give him or her anything too?” she asks, smiling.
“Yes,” I tell her absently until it hits me, and I just stare at her. “Wait…What did you just say?”
“I’m pregnant.” She sits there expectantly, looking more beautiful than I should have the right to touch. I’m frozen, unable to move.
“You’re pregnant,” I finally respond when it finally feels like I can breathe.
“Yes. I mean, I’m a month late, so I took a home test this morning. It was positive.”
“We need to see a doctor. We’ll go today.”
“I have things to do today and tomorrow we are meeting Zoe and Callan at Salsa for dinner, so that’s out. Still, I contacted my doctor and I go in on Wednesday for an exam.”
“I’m going with you.”
“They will probably just draw blood to confirm everything, Niko.”
“I don’t give a damn. I’m going to be there every step of the way.”
“Okay, honey.”
“God, I fucking love you, Em.” I shove my breakfast out of the way, grabbing her by the hips and setting her on the bar in front of me, making her laugh.
“What are you doing?”
“I’ve decided I want you for breakfast,” I manage to utter as I untie her robe, laying her back.
She opens her legs to me, and I look at the feast laid open for me and only me.
“I think I like being your breakfast,” she teases, her eyes locking on mine as I slide my fingers inside her.
“Tell me who you belong to,” I demand, my voice a low rumble that is thick with my hunger for her.
She leans up on her elbows, watching me. “I belong to you, Niko. I always have and always will.”
Damn.
I groan as she tightens her pussy against my fingers “Fucking right you do. Now show me.”
“How?” she asks, looking at me.
“By being my good girl and coming all over my face,” I growl. Then, I dive in, burying my face between her legs and somehow, getting even more addicted to my wife.
Epilogue
NIKO
Five Months Later
Callan and I watch our women from the other side of the patio. Both Zoe and Emilia are out here with us, rocking gently on the large daybed swing under the patio. They’re talking and laughing and no doubt plotting. They are both very pregnant with little boys who will be making their appearances before long.
That daybed was one of the first things that Emilia had installed when we moved into her father’s home—our new home. Well, we are slowly and surely turning it into ours, while keeping the best parts of Maxwell alive and well. Emilia is completely happy here.
I’ve never had a real home before. For me, if she’s happy, then I can live anywhere. When Maxwell first brought up the idea of me marrying his daughter, I worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep her happy. At the time, I didn’t care much about it other than I didn’t want to disappoint him. Now, I feel like I can only breathe when Emilia is with me. Her happiness gives me life.
“They’re at it again,” Callan murmurs, making me laugh.
Emilia and Zoe have decided they will keep our children close to one another from the delivery on. They’re convinced our kids will be best friends just like their mothers. So, they’re always discussing ways to make that happen.
