“I’m falling for you, too, Phillip.”
I have fallen.
Hard.
My feelings are so obvious at this point that there’s no sense in denying them to myself. I fell for Phillip despite every hope that I wouldn’t. Every wall and every obstacle that I put in place proved utterly useless.
His responding smile threatens to upend me. Then he kisses me again, and that faint flame of desire curling through me, licking me from the inside out.
These curtains will have to be drawn ASAP. Phillip will have me over this partition and on his lap in no time.
The sound of footsteps carries down the aisle. No doubt it’s the flight attendant with that warm towel she promised.
Phillip pulls back into his chair. “Wait. I didn’t even get the chance to ask you yet. What are your plans? Where are you going once we land?”
“Oh, I didn’t say? First, I’ll be in London for a week . . . and then I guess I’m going to Belfast.” I finish with a wink.
He laughs with wonderment.
“Ma’am,” the flight attendant says from behind me. “Here’s your warm towel. Is there anything else I can get you before we take off?”
I’m still looking at Phillip when I shake my head.
“No, thank you. I’m all set.”
Everything I need is sitting in 3C.
“Wonderful. I’ll be back around soon. For now, relax and enjoy your flight.”
Oh, don’t worry . . .
I plan to.

CASEY
Ahoy there! I’m Casey Hughes—novice travel influencer. I can’t believe there are already so many of you following this account. I don’t feel deserving of you all, and I will never stop thanking @TravelWithSiennaThompson for pushing me to take the leap and start this profile.
I suppose I should give you all a little context of who I am. I’ve seen some commenters wondering if I’m some heiress with money to burn, and, boy, do I wish! I’m actually a veritable nobody.
For the last few years, I’ve worked for a large travel magazine, doing a lot of unglamorous grunt work. My goal was to eventually become a travel writer, and I thought I was paying my dues and working my way toward that dream. Unfortunately . . . life doesn’t always work that way.
To get where I am now, I had to say goodbye to the confines of my cubicle. I had to move on from an old career (that wasn’t going anywhere) and leave the town I lived in my whole life. I had to take a leap of faith, and honestly . . . it was scary. It still is scary. I dove into the deep end with a laughable lack of savings and no real plan in place. There’s been beauty in the chaos, though. And well . . . also a lot of unbeautiful chaos. I won’t sugarcoat this. I’m flying by the seat of my pants. Rick Steves, I am not. But the world doesn’t need another Rick Steves. He’s the one and only. But here I am, Casey Hughes!
Any day might take me somewhere new, so follow along. I’ll be sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly of what it looks like to explore the world. On my stories, I’ll share little details of my day-to-day travels. On my feed, I’ll post detailed itineraries for each destination so you all can easily reference them later.
Many of you have asked if I travel alone, and the short answer is sometimes. A few of you already noticed the man who occasionally pops up in my photos or on my stories. My boyfriend is the most deeply private person you’ll ever meet, so for now, I won’t be sharing too much about him on this account. But we’ll be traveling together as much as his job allows. Other times, I’ll be flying solo! For me, it’s the best of both worlds.
Next up on our list? Tokyo!
Send me all of your Japan recs!
