“No. And yes. I mean, it’s good, but it’s rarely this good. I can’t compare it to sex with a woman because I’ve never been with one.”

“Not even once to make sure you were gay?”

Clay smiled. “No, I always knew exactly where my desire lay.”

“I was confused about my sexuality for a long time. Even when I was going out with Katie in high school, I noticed boys. I never cheated on her, other than that time we’d broken up, but I’d thought we were really broken up, you know?” He placed a hand on Clay’s chest, his palm brushing a nipple. “So, you’ve had sex like this before?”

Clay watched him for a few moments, wondering how honest to be. The sincerity on Dane’s face made him open up. “No, it’s never been quite this good before.”

“So, we should maybe explore this some more, yeah?”

He rolled toward him and wrapped an arm around him. “Most definitely.”

He kissed Dane gently on the mouth, enjoying the softness of his lips and the light morning stubble. Dane kissed him back just as tenderly. The kiss lingered on until he felt something in his chest shift.

Clay cupped the side of Dane’s face and whispered, “I think we should explore this as much as possible.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.”

He pulled away and stared into those pretty green eyes. He didn’t want to hurt Dane, and it was obvious Dane was a forever type of man, one who fell in love and committed. Could Clay think about staying in Georgia for him? At that moment, it was definitely a possibility. There was no getting tired of the man. He liked everything about him from his good nature to his raw desire in bed.

“So what?” Dane asked. “We’re going to try dating?” There was so much hope and joy written on his face.

“I think I’d like that.”

Dane’s smile widened. “As long as there’s a lot more sex.”

“Oh, there will definitely be that.”

Clay dropped his head down, smiling at Dane before he tugged him closer and wrapped an arm around him. Dane snuggled against him, sighing softly. Clay even liked this part. He’d never been one for cuddling in the past, but he constantly wanted to touch Dane, wanted to feel his breath on his skin, their bodies touching each other.

Even his magic liked Dane. The little creature seemed to be at rest around the man like it was when he was out in nature. As if Dane soothed it. Sure, it sounded crazy, but there was so much he didn’t understand about his new abilities, but anything that soothed the restlessness that had ruled his life was welcome.

Dane sighed and placed his palm on Clay’s stomach. “This is nice.”

“It is,” Clay agreed. “Really nice.” He kissed the top of Dane’s head. “You said you’re off tomorrow.” He glanced at the clock beside the bed. “Or today now. What did you plan to do?”

Dane chuckled. “Right now, I’m planning to do whatever you want to do.”

“Another date?”

“Is it safe for you to leave the plantation?”

Clay winced. “Picked up on that, did you?”

“That none of you guys hardly leave the place? That when you do, some people start chasing you and try to kill you?” Dane shot him a look that was part amusement and part irritation. “I’m not a dumbass. I think it’s safe to conclude it’s less dangerous for you at home than out.”

“Sorry.”

“It’s okay. I’m getting used to it.” He lifted his head to look at Clay. “But promise to tell me everything when you can.”

“I will. You’ll be the first to know when I understand what’s going on.”

“But how can you stand to just sit around here and not, I don’t know, go out there and try to figure out why these men are after you? And what is it you guys are doing in the woods?”

“Now, that’s a story for another time.”

Dane growled, the sound full of frustration. “Just so you know, if we’re going to date, I don’t like secrets.”

“I understand.”

Clay didn’t say anything else. He tightened his arms around Dane, feeling the man relax against him until sleep finally claimed him. What could he say? The aunts warned him about telling Dane, confident that it would blow up in his face. At the time, he’d agreed. But now, as close as they’d become…there was a good chance Dane would be able to handle it.

God, he hoped Dane could handle it.

It was nearly eleven when Dane finally pulled himself away from Clay and slipped on a pair of sweat pants. He padded into the kitchen, his stomach growling. Clay’s had growled back as if they were conversing.

Food first. And then if he was lucky, they’d continue doing what had created these huge appetites in the first place.

He wiggled at the slight pain in his ass. Maybe not exactly the same way. But blowjobs were just as fun.
