“Aye, aye, Captain.” I said and saluted him with my middle finger.
“This is for your protection, Cheyenne. It’s not like I want to have some psycho after you.”
“I know, but it’s been fucking seven months! Find him already!” I yelled.
“I have every available resource on this. I hate my father’s guts, but I called him for you!” he was getting riled now too.
I nodded and went to the restroom for a pee break before I left. I peed a lot. Apparently pregnant women did this a lot, and women pregnant with twins did it even more. I also figured to just let it go before it got out of hand and I started crying like I always did too.
I came out and Sam stood and walked with me to the truck. He didn’t seem very mad anymore, and I felt bad. I knew he was trying his hardest, but this was getting old. I didn’t want to have these babies and have to be with a guard for the rest of my life.
He opened the passenger door for me and the foot bar came down. I made a face at it and placed my foot on it to help me get into the truck. I had to let Sam put the foot bar in because when I was about five months pregnant I could no longer lift my girth up into the truck without assistance. Even with the bar I still had a hard time getting in without the steering wheel.
That is why Sam was there to help; there was only so much an OS bar could handle, and my weight was steadily rising. He helped me up into the truck, gave me a quick kiss, said to call him when I got done, and then slammed the door. He tapped the side of the door and we were off.
Chapter 18
We arrived at the doctor’s office, and Max walked me in, checked me in, and then sat with me until I was called. We waited about fifteen minutes before I was called back by my usual nurse. I headed towards her as Max got up and walked out of the office.
“How are you feeling today?” she asked me while handing me a cup.
“Fat.” I said truthfully.
“That’s normal. You are twenty eight weeks today with twins. When most women are this big they are delivering their baby, they don’t have three more months to go.” She said.
Bitch. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. She led me up to the bathroom and pointed to the door. I went inside, and proceeded to piss all over my hand, and get just enough in the cup to provide a sample. I placed it in the window, and then washed my hands.
I opened the door and the nurse motioned to the scale. So I hopped on and closed my eyes, because I really didn’t want to see how much weight I was gaining because of these two mutant babies that I was carrying. I had already gained thirty pounds, and from what I’ve read I have about a pound a week until I deliver.
“One seventy five.” The nurse said. “Let’s get your blood pressure.”
I gritted my teeth and she did my blood pressure and led me to a room where I sat for another twenty minutes waiting for the doctor.
The doctor got the exam over quick and ordered a growth ultrasound to see how big the babies were.
“Next time we will start checking your cervix to see if you have dilated any.” He said to me on the way out.
Oh yay. Just what I wanted was some doctor’s finger’s doing anything up there.
I was led to the ultrasound room and a cute little pixie who looked like she weighed barely over one hundred pounds gave me an ultrasound. The babies were around four pounds each and had the cutest little chubby cheeks I had ever seen. She let me leave with two pictures of each baby, one of their cute little faces, and one of their girly parts.
The girly parts were new for me. The last three ultrasounds I had done the babies hadn’t cooperated and we were unable to see what they were. Everyone had a poll going, and assumed they were boys because of the amount of food I was putting away. They should have known better though, because I was able to put three quarters of a large pizza away by myself.
I walked out of the doctor’s office and headed in the direction of the elevator. I typed a text message and included a picture of the sonogram, pressing send when I ran into something solid. I looked up and into cold eyes. He smiled at me and I noticed a rag in his hand, but had no time to react before it was placed over my mouth and I got a breath full of something that made me light headed and gave me an awful taste in my mouth. Too late. I realize now that I had made a mistake by leaving. I wasn’t even thinking. I was just so caught up in the babies that I never took a second to think. Sam preached to me often not to leave without an escort. He told me that this guy was dangerous. I knew better.
Oh Sam, I thought before everything went black.

I woke up with a bad taste in my mouth and my head pounding. I opened my eyes and looked around the hotel room. I was in a bed, and there was another bed right beside the one I was lying on. There was a TV in the middle of the room hanging on the wall. There was also some medical stuff laid out on a breakfast table across the room. My heart started pounding.
The bathroom door opened and a built man, dressed in black cargo pants, a black t-shirt and black boots stepped out. He had blonde hair, and a very pretty face. His eyes however were dark brown almost black. When I looked into his eyes, I saw only a void, like he didn’t have a sole. He came up to the side of the bed and stared down at me.
