Thank fuck she didn’t know.

They also all knew Chelle was about to lose her clothes again, this time in a real bed.

He helped her off his Night Train, then swung his own leg over while she removed her helmet.

“I would ask why we’re here, but I’m pretty sure I can guess,” she teased as she straightened her ponytail.

“Normally we eat after the run and I plan on eatin’... just not food.”

He took the helmet from her and hooked it over the handlebar.

“I’ll have you know, I’m shaking,” she whispered, holding her hand out, palm side down. She wasn’t lying, it had a visible tremble to it.

He grabbed it and pressed his lips to the center of her palm. “Hopin’ that’s from anticipation.”

“What else would it be from?” She approached the door and glanced over her shoulder at him. “You have the key?”

The way she looked right now, with her flushed face and the sparkle in her eyes, he could stare at her all fucking day. He took a quick snapshot of her like that in his mind so he could remember it at another time.

He slipped the keycard from his back pocket and handed it to her since she was blocking the door.

“How long do we have the room for?” She slipped the card into the slot, the light turned green and she opened the door.

“The rooms ain’t rented by the hour, beautiful. Got as long as you want.”

“All night?”

He stopped in the doorway and watched her move around the room, turning on the lights to inspect it. It had taken a while for Ozzy and a local Amish construction crew to refurbish all the rooms, but it was now finished and The Grove Inn was like a whole new motel.

It was also no longer rented to the dregs of the Earth. Business people and families regularly rented rooms now. The motel turned a good profit and Trip had been smart to buy the failing business.

“What about your girls?”

“They won’t be home until later and, anyway, they’re both old enough to stay home alone. I just need to be home early enough tomorrow morning to get ready for work and to make sure Josie gets up and goes to school on time.”

“You fuckin’ serious?”

Her eyebrows pinned together. “You don’t want to?”

He quickly went to her after shutting and locking the door behind him. When they were toe to toe, he grabbed her hands and pulled them to his chest. “Beautiful, ain’t nothin’ I want more than to nail you to the mattress all fuckin’ night.”

She laughed. “Sooo much better than sappy romantic poetry.”

Good, because he was far from sappy or romantic, and didn’t know one damn line of poetry and hopefully never would. “What excuse you gonna tell your girls?”

“That’s what I need to figure out.” When she chewed on her bottom lip, the memory of her on her knees sucking him off smacked him right in the face.

He needed her spread naked on the bed and soon.

She pulled away and drifted around the room again. “I’ll tell them a coworker was rushed to the hospital and asked if I could babysit her children overnight.”

“You good with lyin’ to them like that?”

She spun around and bugged her eyes out at him. “What am I supposed to tell them? A sexy biker is nailing your mother to the mattress in a motel?”

“Not sure I’d word it like that,” he said with a snort.

“Well, either I’m going to tell them the truth or I’m going to lie. I’d rather the lie in this case because I don’t feel like dodging one thousand and one questions about the truth. That’s a conversation I’d rather not have with my daughters.”

“Whatever you’re good with,” he finally said.

Chelle wandered over to the nightstand where a plastic bowl sat full of what looked like wraps. She picked up a foil packet and held it up. “Is this normal? Maybe they’re edible and are a substitute for the mints left on the pillow?”

“Ozzy’s an asshole.”

“Why?” She tossed the wrap back into the bowl. “He’s looking out for you by making sure you practice safe sex.”

“Trust me. He’s an asshole.” Proven when he texted everyone after Shade asked him about a room. Not that the level of his assholiness hadn’t been proven many times before that.

“Well, I think it’s sweet and he has a lofty goal for you if he thinks we’re using all of these tonight.”

Shade grinned. “Who said we ain’t?”

Chelle scooped her cupped hands into the bowl of wraps and then let the packets rain back into the bowl. “You might die if you try.”

She might be worth dying for. Though, he kept that shit to himself. Especially when she stalked her way back over to him, a determined look in her eyes that made his dick twitch.
