Grayson added frilly socks and her favorite light-up shoes before reaching for her new paci on the nightstand. “I think my girl is feeling very young. This will help calm you, Cupcake.” He popped the paci in her mouth.

Valerie instantly started suckling. The paci did calm her. It also helped her settle more fully in a younger headspace. It was hard not to feel especially young when he took care of her like this.

He carried her to the bathroom again and settled her on the vanity before carefully brushing out her hair, parting it, and arranging it in two pigtails.

“There,” he declared, turning her so she could see herself in the mirror. “Prettiest Baby girl ever.”

She stared at herself, feeling just as pretty as he suggested, watching her reflection, mesmerized by how young he let her be. It obviously didn’t bother him.

Daddy kissed her neck and lifted her into his arms again.

She wrapped her legs around his waist, held on to his neck, and leaned her head against his shoulder. She sucked the pacifier hard, closing her eyes. This younger space felt so nice. She kind of wished she could stay in it all the time, but it wouldn’t be practical during the workday.

“Can I carry you to my car, Baby girl?” he asked softly.

She nodded. It wasn’t likely anyone would see her in the middle of the day like this. And if they did, she was finding it hard to care.

As he headed out of her bedroom, she lifted her head and pulled out the paci. “Tarzan.”

“Ah, right. Of course. Silly Daddy,” he chastised, slapping a hand against his forehead. He spun around, grabbed the parrot from her bed, and tucked it in her arms.

She popped the paci back in and snuggled into his chest, hugging Tarzan.

Valerie didn’t look right or left as her Daddy settled her in his car and buckled her seatbelt. If this amazing dream really did come true, she wouldn’t see any of these neighbors regularly for very long anyway. She would move into her Daddy’s house.

Chapter Sixteen

Grayson was floating as he pulled into his garage. His Baby girl was in the Littlest headspace he’d ever seen her in. He suspected part of her deeper regression was due to being overly tired from a night of stress. Part was hopefully due to their professions of love that allowed her to let more of her walls down and trust him more fully.

He was aware even though they’d said they loved each other, she was still nervous. He couldn’t blame her. Trust was hard and earned. Littles had a tendency to be particularly vulnerable and nervous because they could so easily be hurt by false Daddies.

Grayson had every intention of helping his Little girl spend the rest of the day in a very young space where she could fully relax and know how much she meant to him and how dedicated he was to taking care of her.

He hadn’t let her feet touch the floor a single time since she’d slid into this deeper space after they’d had sex, and he intended to keep it that way, preferably for the entire evening.

She’d sucked her paci and held her stuffie close to her chest during the entire drive, not seeming to pay a bit of attention to anyone pulling up beside them. That was huge and spoke volumes about her headspace.

After he lowered the garage door, he rounded the car, opened her door, released her seatbelt, and lifted her into his arms. His heart was beating so fast as she hugged him tight and settled her head against his shoulder again.

Grayson rubbed her back as he carried her into the house. He didn’t set her down then either. He couldn’t stand the idea of parting with her. He held her tight with one arm under her bottom as he opened the fridge and pulled out a prepared bottle.

She didn’t say a word as she watched him remove the nipple and heat the bottle in the microwave.

“I bet you didn’t have much for lunch, did you, Cupcake?”

She shook her head.

“I bet you didn’t sleep well last night either?”

She shook her head again.

“Let’s get some nutrition in you and get you down for a nap. You’ll feel better. Afterward, we can spend the evening snuggling on the couch and watching cartoons. How does that sound?”

She nodded.

Damn, she was adorable with her mouth plugged.

Grayson headed for the nursery where he settled on the big rocking chair, leaned her back in his arms, and plucked the pacifier from her mouth.

She whimpered in protest, which made him chuckle. “Just swapping the paci for a bottle, Baby girl.” He popped the new nipple in her mouth and watched as she found her rhythm, settling her tongue around the similar nipple and suckling.

She instantly relaxed. Her small hand came to his, and she held his pinky against the bottle. Her gaze held his too. She hadn’t spoken in quite a while, and he was okay with that. Her eyes spoke volumes. They brought him to his knees. The trust. There was a hint of uncertainty, but it was probably born of the unknown because the trust was winning.
