“What? No! Absolutely not! I am not doing that. Can you imagine? God, when we really have sex, you’re not going to expect me to dirty talk, are you? I don’t know if I can dirty talk. It would be hot if you did it, but not me. No. Absolutely no to any phone sex and… You suck. You’re giving me shit, aren’t you?”
A laugh rumbled from deep in my gut. He was so fucking great. I rolled over, still busting up. My stomach started hurting, but I couldn’t stop.
“I’m not sure it was that funny.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t help it. I’m not laughing at you.”
“Oops. My mistake. I don’t know how I could possibly think the obnoxious noises coming out of your mouth were directed toward me.”
“Aw, don’t be mad at me. I’ll be good. I promise.”
“I don’t think you know the definition of good.”
“I beg to differ. You’ll get to see just how good I am soon.” I could swear I heard him swallow. “You’re blushing, aren’t you?”
“No.”
“Don’t make me video call you to prove it,” I teased.
“I wouldn’t answer.”
“Yeah,” I said softly. “You would.”
Jameson gulped again. “I think I might have gotten in over my head.”
“I don’t. I think you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. I’m perfect to do this with you. Oooh, you want to be a professor, right? We can play dirty student-teacher games, only this time, I’ll be the professor and give you sex lessons.”
“I’m going to pretend you didn’t say that, and I’m hanging up now.”
“Don’t go! I’ll miss you!” I said playfully, before sobering. “Seriously, though. You’re still good with this? You can change your mind anytime. I don’t mean to make light of it. I’m trying to make you laugh.” I liked making Jameson smile. It was…I didn’t know, like winning a prize, or the feel of the sun on your skin after a cold rain—inviting and warm.
“I haven’t changed my mind. I want to do this.”
A deep breath escaped my lungs. I’d been nervous he would say no. “Do you want to get together tomorrow afternoon? We never got to have dinner.”
“Um…yeah, sure, but can we…have dinner at my place? I think I’d be more relaxed.”
“Of course. Plus, I heard they get angry if you give people orgasms in a restaurant, and I definitely plan on making you come tomorrow night.”
“I… That was…wow… I’m…”
“It’s okay. You don’t need to reply. Text me and let me know what time, okay? And I’m also going to ask you questions about what you’ve done and what you want, so be ready.”
Somehow, I knew he was nodding as he said, “All right. Good night, Will.”
“Night.”
A few minutes after I hung up, I realized I was still smiling.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
Jameson
“Oh my God. I can’t breathe. Why can’t I breathe?”
Ali rubbed my back. “Good sex always makes you breathless, pumpkin.”
“Yeah, but I haven’t had it yet!” I countered. I wanted it. Couldn’t wait to have it and hoped I’d do it a lot over the summer, but at this point, I was losing my shit at the thought of dinner with Will this evening. I was such a mess.
“Yeah, but if things go according to plan,” Kira said, “you’re gonna bow-chicka-wow-wow tonight.”
I looked over at her. “I can’t believe you just said that, and wait, do you think he’s going to want to jump right into it tonight? I want to do some things, but are you thinking it’ll be a one-and-done?” My fear was, we’d have sex, I’d be shit at it, and he wouldn’t want to do it again. If we at least stretched the sex stuff out, then I’d have more time.
“I doubt he’ll want to get right into the fucking tonight, and if he does and you don’t want to, you say no. If he is a dick about it, you kick his ass,” Ali said.
“He wouldn’t do that.” There was zero doubt in my mind about that. But if I was wrong, there would definitely be some ass-kicking going on. I might be awkward, but I knew how to defend myself.
“Do you have condoms, just in case?”
“Yes, Mama Ali!”
“Lube?” Kira added.
“I’m a virgin, not an idiot. I always have lube.”
“Lotta hand action going on around here, huh?” Kira teased, and she and Ali dissolved in a fit of giggles.
“I have the worst friends ever.” And by worst, I meant best. I hadn’t ever expected to have someone who meant as much to me as Kira did, but Ali had fitted right in with us. I loved them both, and they’d done their job of distracting me as much as possible. “Now get out. He’ll be here in two hours, and I need to take a shower.” My second one of the day, but who was counting?
“You’re so mean to us. I don’t know why we put up with you,” my best friend said. “You still love me, don’t you, Ali?”
