I knew he was wild, but damn, I never knew just how hot-blooded.

He begins to move down, his mouth burning a path over my breasts and stomach as if he’s starving, and I’m his only sustenance.

By the time his shoulders spread my legs, my body feels like a crashing wave tossed around by the tide that is Jase Reyes.

His mouth latches onto my clit, and the sensation is so intense, I buck off the bed, my mouth open in a silent moan.

Jase doesn’t relent, his teeth and tongue demanding my body give him every drop of my release. The orgasm spasms through me, and I lose all control.

A breath manages to explode from me as rapture seizes me.

Jase laps at me as I come down from my release, and then he crawls up my body and crashes his mouth against mine.

And I get to taste the intoxicating mixture of us.

JASE

Naked, we crawl under the covers, and I pull Mila against my chest, admitting, “Totally blew my mind, babe.”

“Thought I’d repay the favor and give you a little taste of what it feels like to be me,” she sasses me.

“Yeah?” I love how brave she’s becoming, not holding back what she thinks or feels. “You can repay the favor any time.”

“Mmh… so greedy,” she murmurs as she snuggles into me.

“You love my demanding ass,” I remind her.

“Yeah, I do.” She lifts her head, and her eyes glide over my face. “I love you, Jase. It’s only been you.”

“You know,” I say as I wrap my one arm under my head, “I always thought you were picky, and that’s why you didn’t date.”

“And in the meantime, it was all because of you,” she chuckles.

“Since you were fifteen?” I still can’t believe I never picked up on it. “You’re damn good at hiding things.”

“I was going to tell you, but you forgot to pick me up from school because you were with a girl.” She thinks for a moment. “Angela.”

I try to recall it but come up with nothing. “I’m sorry I forgot to pick you up,” I say, and lifting my left hand to her hair, I pull my fingers through the silky strands. “I was clearly a dumbass at the age of nineteen.”

Mila’s gaze drops to my neck. “It’s okay. You’re with me now.”

“Show me those eyes,” I murmur low in my throat. Mila lifts her gaze back to mine, and I stare deep into her green irises. “There she is. My girl.”

A grins tugs at her lips before it stretches into a smile. “My man.”

“Kiss me,” I demand.

Mila pushes up and presses a sweet kiss to my mouth.

When she pulls back, I growl, “Now kiss me like you mean it.”

She lets out a chuckle, then crashes her lips to mine. Bringing her hands to my jaw, her tongue slips into my mouth, and time slips away.

Chapter 28

MILA

The weight of the attack doesn’t feel so heavy as I attend my classes. The other students' stares aren’t as bothersome, and I don’t even hear the whispers.

I’m too busy replaying the past weekend in my mind, like a favorite movie. Every couple of minutes, goosebumps spread over my skin as I remember Jase’s kisses and the feel of his hands on my body.

He loves me.

God, it feels like I’m high.

When the accounting lecture ends, Jade, Fallon, and I head out of the building.

“You’ve been smiling a lot,” Jade comments, a mischievous grin on her face. “Anything you want to share?”

I shake my head, but knowing she won’t stop asking, I say, “I just feel better today.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Jade wraps her arm around my waist and gives me a squeeze.

“We should celebrate with junk food and facials,” Fallon comments.

“Oooh, that sounds like a great idea,” I agree.

And then I spot Jase and Jessica standing near the dorms, and my good mood evaporates.

He leans down to her, and my heart sinks. The sight of them rocks my entire world.

Jessica reaches for Jase’s arm, but then he yanks away from her, and when he turns, I see the anger on his face. He takes a couple of steps away.

“Everyone thought we were a couple,” Jessica yells for the whole campus to hear. “I thought if I could get Justin and Mila to date, she’d leave you alone.”

Swinging back, Jase shouts, “Have I ever said we were a couple?” He closes in on her, and Jessica has enough sense to take a step back. “You fucking encouraged that fucker to pursue Mila. You’re just as fucking guilty as he is!”

Jade grabs hold of my arm and drags me closer.

“I did it for us, Jase!” Our approach catches Jessica’s eye and a scowl forms on her face. “If it weren’t for her, none of this would’ve happened.” She points a finger at me, and it makes my eyebrow pop up.
