With his eyes lifted and looking at me, he pulled my panties down, then blew warm air on me, causing me to draw in a quick breath. My body trembled with anticipation. Ty glanced up at me, then smiled before he gently pressed his face against me, inhaling a deep breath. An instant rush of desire pooled between my legs, and I instinctively put my hands in his hair.

Then he stood, and disappointment hit me like a brick dropping on my stomach.

Damn.

Ty winked. “I’ll taste you, baby, don’t worry. Right now, I need to see all of you. Touch you. Feel myself inside you.” As he reached behind my back to unclasp my bra, he brought his mouth to my ear. “I don’t have any condoms, Kaylee.”

That knowledge made me happier than it should have. For two reasons. One, that meant he hadn’t planned on hooking up with anyone. Two, I got to feel him bare inside me. Again.

“I don’t care.”

He drew back and looked me in the eyes. “The pill isn’t a hundred percent, you know, and Brock already bitched me out once.”

“Pull out if you want . . . but I need to feel you, all of you.”

He gently kissed me, and it felt like the floor beneath me was swaying. This wasn’t the kiss of a man who simply wanted a quick fuck.

Ty reached down, picked me up, and carried me over to the bed. He laid me down gently, then crawled over me, kissing my neck, my breasts, and down my stomach to the inside of my thigh. I was panting like a damn dog in heat. Lifting my hips shamelessly, begging for his mouth to be down there.

“You are so beautiful, Kaylee. So damn beautiful.”

My eyes caught his while he settled between my legs. “I thought you wanted inside me,” I said with a smirk.

“Change of plans.”

Then he ran his tongue between my lips and flicked my clit, sending me nearly off the bed in the process. He grabbed my body and held me down while he licked and sucked until I was grabbing the pillow and crying out his name as my orgasm zipped through my body like a tornado.

I was still trying to come down from the high when I felt him over me. His fingers intertwined with mine as he pushed them into the bed on either side of my head. Expertly, he guided himself to my entrance and slowly worked his way in. Both of us moaning with each delicious movement.

“Ty,” I gasped, wrapping my legs around him, attempting to pull him inside me faster, deeper.

He closed his eyes once he was fully seated, not moving as he lowered his forehead to mine. The weight of his body was a delicious punishment, and something I knew I was going to need for the rest of my life.

“Look at me,” I said, causing him to adjust his body. Our eyes met. We were one, together in the most intimate way possible. Connected as lovers, but I knew in my heart of hearts it was so much more than that. “You were made for me.”

He tried to shake his head, but I withdrew my hand from his and pressed my fingers to his lips.

“Listen to me, Ty. I love you.”

He closed his eyes, and I placed my hand on the side of his face.

“Ty.”

When he opened his eyes again, he whispered my name, and it sounded like a prayer carried on a breeze. “Kaylee.”

“You are everything to me. Every single flaw, imperfection, struggle, demon, painful memory . . . they’re mine now also. The same goes for me. All of my doubts, struggles, fears—they’re yours. Together, we make a beautiful puzzle with all our crazy pieces.”

He stared at me, his eyes holding so much fear. I wasn’t about to stop. He needed to hear this. He needed to know how I felt about him.

“I don’t want the man you think I need. I want you, Ty Shaw. The only man I would lay my life down for. I’d go to the ends of the earth to show you how much I care for you. How much I love you. I want to be buried into the deepest, darkest part of your soul, and I want to bring you light. Heal your pain. Bring you the happiness you deserve and show you that you don’t have to change for me. I want you as you are. And I won’t change for you.”

A tear slipped from his eye and slowly trailed down his cheek until it dripped onto my body.

I was stunned for a moment. To see this strong man show such emotion was almost too much for me.

“I’ve never felt this way with anyone else,” I said.

He swallowed hard. “Not even—”

“Only you,” I quickly confirmed.
