“I don’t want anyone seeing what’s for my eyes only,” he says as his big powerful hand slides down my back and onto my bare ass. He grips it hard enough to make me gasp. “This body is mine.”
Seeing that possessive look in his eyes as he looks down at me makes me so wet. We had sex about half an hour ago but my pussy is already flooding with his hand so close.
“It’s yours,” I whisper as I drop the housecoat off my shoulders and let it fall to the floor. “What are you going to do with it?”
He pushes me back to the bed and I’m grinning as I fall onto the soft sheets. I open my legs and let him come…
“I can’t believe it’s over,” I say sadly as we walk to Roman’s truck.
He stops in his tracks and turns to me. “Hey,” he says with a seriousness in his eyes that shakes me to my core. “It’s not over. It will never be over. We’re going to be together forever you and me. Got that?”
I nod my head up and down, but it still feels sad. Of course, we’re going to be together forever but this was our first time being together and exploring each other’s bodies and that will never happen again.
He kisses me hard on the mouth and my spirits start to lift. It’s one first that’s over, but there are still many firsts to discover with Roman. I can’t wait for each one of them.
I take off his hat and ruffle his messy hair.
“You like doing that, don’t you?” he says with a grin as he looks down at me.
I nod as I smile back at him. “Maybe a little.”
He’s about to say something, but a truck comes screeching down the off-ramp from the highway.
“No!” I gasp when I see my brother Enzo behind the wheel. He looks furious.
I jump in front of Roman as he screeches to a halt and explodes out of the truck.
“Stop it, Enzo!” I scream. “He’s my mate! You can’t hurt him!”
Roman pulls me behind him. I struggle but I’m no match for this powerful bear shifter. He protects me with his body even though he’s the one who needs protection. They both do. They’ll kill each other for me when that’s the last thing I want.
I rush around Roman’s huge frame and stand between them with my arms out. “Stop it! You’re not fighting!”
“Like hell we’re not,” Enzo says as he lunges forward. I try to intercept him, but it’s like trying to stop a Mack truck. I bounce off his hard body and fall onto my ass, scratching my palm on the pavement.
“Don’t touch her!” Roman roars as he steps forward with his neck strained. His teeth are gritted and he looks terrifying as he steps up to defend me.
“Roman! Enzo! Please stop!”
Roman looks at me and then kneels down. He helps me up as Enzo gets right into his face.
I push my brother back with all my might but he doesn’t budge. “How did you even find us?”
He’s glaring at Roman with a vicious look. “I got the Sheriff’s department to check hotels for a truck with claw marks on the side. It wasn’t hard to find that shitty ass truck.”
“You come near my girl,” Roman says as he steps up to him, their faces inches apart, “or touch my truck again, and I’ll kill you.”
“Your girl?” Enzo hisses through clenched teeth. “She’s my sister!”
“She’s my mate!”
I scream as they lunge at each other, fighting and wrestling into the truck.
“Stop it, you idiots!” I shout as I hit their arms, trying to break them apart. It’s no use. They’re way too strong.
The rumbling sound of motorcycles gets their attention and they separate as nine men on bikes come rolling into the parking lot.
“Roman?” I whisper as panic starts to fill me up.
The terrifying-looking men park in a line and shut off their motorcycles. I feel sick when I see the familiar name on their leather vests—Lone Wolf Mercenaries.
So, they were after my mate. Why didn’t I say something when I had the chance?
“Bailey,” Roman snaps as he shoves the truck’s keys into my hand. “Get in the truck. Drive far away. If one of these guys follows you, run them off the road.”
I grip the keys as I look at him with dread. “I’m not leaving without you.”
“Go!” he roars. “Now, or you might not have another chance.”
“Who are these guys?” Enzo says, looking at them in confusion. “Wolf shifters?”
The line of nine bikers comes walking over. Two have baseball bats, one has a chain, another has a knife that’s glinting in the sun.
“That’s far enough,” Enzo hisses as he puts his hand up to them. “What do you guys want?”
The biggest one who looks like the leader has an ugly mullet and an eye patch over his left eye. He’s terrifying and I don’t want my mate or my brother anywhere near him. He steps forward and points at Roman.
