Silvie’s voice gets a little higher, and I think I know where this is going now.
“Well, the Alphas did a bachelor auction for their fall fundraiser. They earned so much for their scholarship fund…” She continues, her voice rising at the end.
“You don’t say.” I try to keep the laugh out of my voice. Subtlety is not this girl’s thing. I like her idea, but I don’t want to put her out of her misery yet.
“Well, since you seem to know a lot of handsome men now, maybe you could see if they would be willing to do a bachelor auction? You know, for the children.” The last part she says very fast.
I sigh to myself. Silvie is a sweet girl. She doesn’t have to think about anything beyond the next charity event, the next date with a lacrosse player. Not so different from me before I took over Scarlet.
A bachelor auction sounds like it could be fun. I know how much women in this town are willing to pay for a session with my beautiful doms, and now we can find out how much they are willing to pay to be seen with them.
“I’ll talk to them, Silvie. Why don’t you and your sisters put together the details from last year’s event, and one of you can bring them over to my club. You can hand them over to Robin or Gustav. You met them at the gala, remember?” I smile to myself as Silvie suppresses a squeal. I don’t know if ‘Daddy’ knows how much money his little Pi Pi is going to spend at my auction.
After a few more minutes of Silvie talking about how the Alphas did their auction, I get her off the phone. Well, if all the girls on Greek row are as excited as Silvie, the event will be a huge success.
We can close Scarlet for the night. The big room opens up nicely, and some of the walls roll back. Only clients really know what goes on at Scarlet. And for my better-known clients, having one of the social events of the year here in this club might just be titillating.
Just need to clear the toys from the space, bring in a small stage for the guys, and everything will be set.
The guys, though…they might not want to be auctioned off. My strong dominant men, what if they don’t want to be displayed and bid on? It’s well beyond their duties as my employees, and I don’t know if they’ll do it for me. I don’t really know where we stand right now. We’re getting closer, but is it just the sex?
I can’t make any more plans until I talk to them. I text Gideon, asking him to get the guys together and meet me in the big room in 15 minutes.
I take the time to pull together a very rough plan for the event. I want them to see what this could be, not just hear a crazy idea. I want them to take me seriously.
I walk into the big room and flash back to the last time we were all in here. Such a short time ago, but I’m closer now to them than I was then. I’ve had to let them in—and I’m glad that I did.
“We’re all here, Miss Travers.” Gideon looks at me with sad eyes. I remember the last time I called them all in here and what it was about. Shit, that was not the impression I was going for.
“No guys, I’m not ending what we have going on. I’m really enjoying everything. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean…” I feel like an idiot. Of course they would think I was calling them in for another conversation about professionalism.
“Thank fuck!” Robin says, and the tension breaks in the room. I didn’t realize how tense they all were. I was so distracted by asking them about the auction.
“Fuck, I’m sorry. Nothing to worry about. I actually wanted to ask you for a favor.” I start. “I’m putting on the Twilight Gala this year, and I want to do it here.”
Max laughs. “So you want us to work overtime for the night, spank all the charity guests?” Everyone laughs. I picture the standard charity event guests in fetish gear, and I join in the laughter.
“No, I was thinking of doing something else. I don’t know that the general public is quite ready for your specific talents. But I do think they are ready to meet you. I want to ask you if you would be willing to do a bachelor auction. You stirred up some interest at the latest gala. In fact, I might have been asked to chair the Twilight Gala partly to convince you all to do this.”
I’m talking a little too fast. I really want them to say yes. It never occurred to me when I was talking to Silvie that they would say no, but now…
